I guess I would truly try to right by one person other than myself. As often as we truly might say this, and really mean it, I would say it really is a difficult thing. I cam to this website, after a long absence, not even thinking that I sill remembered the password, and here I am.

Sometimes various projects or plans get jammed up. Right now I imagine there are many people having similar problems.

September for most people is a very busy time. The author/publisher of this website (or blog) is in exactly the same boat as everyone else.

If you have a need issue or problem, remember is September to call out for help.

Strange Days Have Found Us.

I think at the core of the problem is that our own “liberal” concept of “freedom” of speech somehow allows for demonstrations like this.

I suppose these “demonstrators” feel free to do this in democratic countries, because they want to inflict their world view and their religion upon the whole world!

Could you imagine what might happen to to liberal demonstrators screaming out for being allowed to have freedom to follow their own religion, follow their own code of social conduct (or lack thereof) in an Islam, or Hamas controlled nation?

A Link To A Facebook Video Showing Anti-British Muslim Demostrations

Of course not!! The military would simply open fire, and the media would not be allowed to broadcast it! We are victims of our own democratic values, which so vehemently defends the right of free speech.

Apparently we have conveniently forgotten then when “free speech” is intended to create violence or perpetuate hatred, and target specific people, that the military is entirely within its right, to stop such offensive actions!

Ms. Irina Bokova Director-General, UNESCO7, Place de Fontenoy 75352 Paris 07 SP France

Dear Director-General Bokova,

As a member of the Jewish faith, I want to express my deep dismay at the recent passage of the UNESCO resolution classifying Rachel’s Tomb and The Cave of the Patriarchs as Palestinian landmarks, specifically Rachel’s Tomb as a mosque.

These are historic sites to the Jewish people and are an integral part of our heritage. Biblical tradition states that the Tomb of Rachel was acquired and built by Jacob and has been a sacred pilgrimage site of Judaism since. Historically, even the Muslim population has recognized the tomb’s significance to Judaism, referring to the site as ‘Qubbat Rukhail’.

Part of UNESCO’s World Heritage mission is to encourage international cooperation in the conservation of our world’s cultural and natural heritage. Israel is strongly committed to the preservation of Jewish sites, but also recognizes the immense importance of sites throughout the country to other faiths and heritages.

Adam, the first man, Avraham, Yitchak, and Yaakov are buried here!

The Burial Places of the People in Torah (or Old Testament) are Holy Places that should be open to all. They may not be turned into Mosque's for the exclusive religious use of one particular sect, they are to be open to the citizens of the world!

I am disheartened that a renowned international body would use the classification of cultural and religious sites for political purposes. It is offensive that an organization tasked with fostering cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and a culture of peace could blatantly ignore the significance of this site to millions of Jewish people.

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME

The Need For A Safe Homeland For Jews, Israel.

2010

The nation of Israel may have very important ramifications for extremely religious Jews who may have a very strong belief in scriptural sources as the basis of their existence, however there is entire country (Israel), and a people (Jews) who live and work, in Israel who want to be left alone in peace.

Jews who live today (regardless of if they are observant or not) have a place to call home, that is Israel. It is a sad state of affairs to see a sect of people so strongly adherent to Torah and yet so adamantly opposed to a population of their own people, because of some particular literal interpretation of some tenet or dogma which may be found in scriptural sources.

Tish B'Av at the Kotel Summer 2009

Tish B'Av at the Kotel Summer 2009

It is such a scary thing in my mind, when one particular branch of our very own Jewish people (and a very strictly religious one as well) would rather stubbornly adhere to one very literal interpretation of a source of scripture then to consider the needs of all the Jewish people, in Israel and throughout to have one safe homeland to call our own, Israel!

Yigal Amir

As published Saturday last here on SAM the Jewish Israeli assassin of PM Yitzhak Rabin in late 1995 appears to be working it’s evil through a large minority faction of the IDF and Israeli Society. Not so surprising when Haaretz reports that 30% of Israeli Jews support a pardon for the murderous criminal. Presumably some of that 30% supported the act of assassination too.

Israel takes aim at Palestinian ‘incitement’

Selected Excerpts:

Israel has long claimed that Palestinian leaders promote – or tolerate – hatred in school textbooks, public speeches and their official media. Israel have especially bristled at maps in schoolbooks and documents that do not designate Israel, and Palestinian TV broadcasts of mosque leaders denigrating Jews.

The dispute underscores another cultural disconnect: Israelis would say radical statements from their side draw widespread criticism from liberal Israelis and the debate becomes a news item in the freewheeling media.

They distinguish that from broadcasts on Palestinian state TV, which is linked to the government and goes unchallenged.

The Palestinians say they have cracked down on official incitement and accuse the Israeli side of engaging in its own manifestations of hostility. They point to statements by extremist religious figures and nationalist politicians who occasionally speak derisively of Arabs.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has acknowledged there have been problems in the past, but said he is dealing with the issue. “I can’t deny that some of our people make incitement. We want to eliminate this.

We have to work on it,” he told a group of Jewish American leaders during a trip to the U.S. in September.

Hanan Ashrawi, a Palestinian lawmaker, called the initiative “another Israeli attempt to draw attention away from the (peace) talks” that started in September and swiftly stalled over the Israeli resumption of settlement-building. She said that “there is incitement and discrimination on the Israeli side” as well.

Incitement does exist on the Israeli side but it is not mainstream and is always condemned by the majority of society and in the media.

And a main highway that cuts through the West Bank is named after the late Rehavim Zeevi, a far-right politician who advocated transferring Palestinians out of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Zeevi was killed by a Palestinian assassin in 2001.

Ze’evi, a former army general and leader of a small ultranationalist party, advocated harsh military action against the Palestinians. He also called for the eviction of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza, a view most Israelis consider extreme.

Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavim Ze'evi died after being gunned down at close range

Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavim Ze'evi died after being gunned down at close range outside his Jerusalem hotel room, apparently by Palestinians seeking revenge for Israel's assassination of a Palestinian leader.

Qur’an obtained two pistols and an automatic rifle, smuggled them into the hotel along with accomplices, and waited for Zeevi near his room. The minister, 75, emerged from the elevator and passed Quran in the corridor, Quran called out to him, and when Zeevi turned around, Quran killed him with three shots, the documents said

Sue, I hear you, however my main concern is how Obama may be acting with the blessing of Congress. A letter on January 21, 2010, a letter [signed by] by 54 members of Congress asking the Obama administration to demand that Israel lift the siege of Gaza. The letter has meaning and expresses an opinion backed by a significant number of congressional members.

Another Facebook inspired response.
Congressional Letter to Obama on Gaza Siege – Letter by 54 Members of Congress to Obama-Facebook response

When liberals and democrats support factions which act to aid and abet actual enemy populations of the Jewish people, the nation of Israel, and populations which support, authorize and even elect known terrorist groups as their representative form of government, they have clearly gone way to far, in their touchy-feely concept of save the poor downtrodden and oppressed people.-Aharon Moshe Sanders, November 3, 2010 1:25PM EST

Yes, these sentiments do have their place. Apparently those long infomercials asking for donations which utilize Sally Struthers for the ongoing “Save the Children” appeal apparently does not satisfy a longing for people who insist that their version of idealism be enabled and enacted upon by the entire world.

Of all the elected representatives in the US, Congress is supposed to most representative of the individual voters. and they are re-elected every two years.

“Each state receives representation in the House in proportion to its population but is entitled to at least one Representative. The most populous state, California, currently has 53 representatives. The total number of voting representatives is fixed by law at 435.[1] Each representative serves for a two-year term.”..

“The major power of the House is to pass federal legislation that affects the entire country, although its bills must also be passed by the Senate and further agreed to by the President before becoming law (unless both the House and Senate re-pass the legislation with a two-thirds majority in each chamber)”

These are government officials with the power to affect actual US policy including foreign policy!

The United States had Not filed a Declaration of war against any nation since June 05, 1942.

Congress has not exercised its constitutional right to declare war since World War II.

http://www.ptsdsupport.net/war_powers_act.html

Apparently wars for the right reasons are not what they once were, and quite possibly with the current over marginalized US voting population, the necessary ability to be an altruistic US Congressional Representative is greatly diminished.

The problem regarding the most representative form of government in the US political spectrum has to do with many factors. I imagine that the greatest issue has to do with the great diversity of opinion within any congressional districts, and perhaps an unrefined method or overly deceptive advertising or public relations that candidates do use to get re-elected. The primary problem additionally with the Congressional representatives or members of the US House of Representatives is that they primarily have to answer to the political machine which put them in power.

the problem seems to be that no one cares one bit about the whole thing…

The War Powers Act is found as 50 USC S.1541-1548, passed in 1973 over the veto of President Nixon. It’s supposed to be the mechanism by which the President may use US Armed Forces. It purports to spell out the situations under which he may deploy the Forces with and without a Congressional declaration of war.

Such a letter to the The President of the US, is significant, and the signers of this letter, should be able to provide an explanation as to it’s intent! Additionally in the wake of the May 31, 2010 Flotilla incident, these same Congressional Representatives should restate their opinion in light of the clearly unwarranted outpouring of media attention, against all of the interests of Israel.

Personally I feel such a statement from our elected Congressional Representatives, becomes the 1st step in a movement which seeks to re-introduce an isolationist attitude towards Israel, because theses Congressional Representatives of the US understand potential financial and diplomatic liabilities th US may face n relation to strong Pro-Israel US policy.

Again when considering the larger picture of the political, economic and and rapidly changing power structure of the world, based on such immediate threats posed by a nuclear capable Iran supported by strategically geographically placed nations like Turkey, along with a theoretically bottomless pit of financing form oil producing nations, then whatever slight risk the US might face economically or diplomatically, from being a strong ally of Israel, would be greatly offset by the important position which the US occupies as a military super-power in keeping a tight balance on the the growing threat caused by a newly emerging alliance having both vast financial resources as well as a developing and growing sophisticated arsenal of both high tech conventional weapons, as well as weapons of mass destruction.

Think Globally Act Locally

Think Globally Act Locally

Such statements may indeed be predicated upon extensive campaign contributions for various corporations which may be helpful in financing congressional campaigns. There unfortunately is a highly prevalent political attitude that the only kind of legislation which is good for the US, and it’s vastly diverse citizens, is whatever happens to be good for the largest campaign contributors that are able to help a given politician remain in power.

Sure one particular politician, perhaps representing ideas which seem contrary to maintaining an vital power equilibrium in a some remote part of the world may on the surface appear to hold little significance to struggling wage earned trying to feed his family;

However, one more step in the wrong direction of a delicately balanced house of cards, like the power struggle in the area of the middle east, can push the over-all equilibrium into an extremely dangerous chain reaction. When Congressional Representatives in the US House of Representatives formally sign such an advisory notice to the President of the United States, they are not simply expressing an opinion that has little meaning.

They are effectively drawing a line in the sand stating that they have aligned themselves with what they feel is the majority sentiment of the people of the United States, and placing their seal of approval to the President’s plans whatever they may have been, in distancing itself from being an important ally of Israel.

A letter like this signed by 54 congressional representatives telling the President how to handle deteriorating US Israel relations, in a political climate where a strong nation as an ally in this part of the world, is equally important to global peace, based on a balance of power, is clearly something which requires significant explanation on the part of it’s signers, and is not something which should be lightly glossed over.

Not Every Piece Of Property Can Be Paved To Put Up A Parking Lot.- The value of untapped Potential-By Aharon Moshe Sanders, 10/25/10 4:07PM

Some Look at Open Spaces and See Condo's w/ A Nice View,

Some Look at Open Spaces and See Condo's w/ A Nice View, I see a nice place to pull off the road and take a picture.

Often I get caught up in various discussions or arguments that may have even been initiated by me. Sometimes I get proven wrong, and that alright with me.

The value of our potential which lies latent within us, untapped and underutilized was placed within us by our creator. Alongside this potential is something which I would like to call the uncertainty factor. This factor can be effective enough to stop you dead in your tracks.

Not every grand idea, scheme or plan is meant to come into existence. Nature has a way of shaking out the things that are meant to exist versus things which maybe somehow can never be. Of course now I understand that so many people use the term nature, but so many do not really understand the word and what it stands for on a very deep level.

We live surrounded by nature which are the other living things which surround you everywhere you look. As I am writing this I hear a bird chirping outside of my window. One can study nature for their entire lifetime and never learn all it’s mysteries and secrets. The reason is because all of nature is but a small part of G-d’s creation.

Yes there are many scientist out there who try hard to demonstrate how living things came springing forth from simple elements that were found in what they call a primordial soup. You might not ever hear a scientist explain the amazing intricacies of how a complex organism as detailed as a person comes from this tiny egg, that at some point looks like nothing more than a hollow ball. Yet when you walk out of the classroom, you do not know what this teacher truly believes. This is because the method used for teaching science stays away from matters of faith, or belief in a divine creator.

However the person who understands these inner secrets, and lets go of what he knows to delve into areas which he does not readily understand all the details, may be given certain keys. These keys may allow him to further his own personal understanding. However such paths to deep insights into things of a murky and unknown origin are protected by some sort of shield. This shield can only be removed by somehow completing the task that the person might be stuck on.

Not Every Piece Of Property Can Be Paved To Put Up A Parking Lot.

Every thought that you have which could lead to an action may not be acted upon. It is a physical reality. Therefore we are provided with only a small piece of the whole thing which we are destined to be a part of in our present and future life. This piece is small enough so that we can complete the essential aspects of what must be done.

The other limitation which I are forced to accept is that of time. When we view something which we understand to be desirable, it’s quite possible that others also see this. Therefore we are sometimes projected forward into unplanned or not well thought out actions because we feel a perceived time pressure which is only an invention of our own mind.

When you are able to accept that part of your overall plan and goal in life may lead to something which is so big that you cannot complete it in what you believe to be your alloted time to live, then you might get a deeper glimpse and insight into the importance of properly proceeding with your own unique plan and mission in your life, which is something only you can truly do.

In the meantime, there are many open spaces for your dream, goal, mission or creation to exist. By focusing on some outside possibility that someone else is also seeking to do the very same thing that you have desired to accomplish, is the very thing which might compel you to work quickly and possibly erroneously. Such errors can be costly, because they are obstacles to your achievement of completion, which were placed there by your own doubt in yourself.

Do you think you know the inner meaning of nature? Not sure!
